Virginia High School Basketball - Western Branch tops Lakeland

Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 66-49 in a league bout.
With the victory, Western Branch upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Bruins host Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Braves in a Southeastern bout on Friday, February 3. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Indian River won 80-36 in their recent league bout against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern bout, on Friday, February 3. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 81-48 league win over Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
