Maine High School Basketball - Leavitt overwhelmed by Mt. Blue

The Mt. Blue Cougars basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Leavitt Hornets to 43 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Skowhegan for a A North contest on Wednesday, February 1. Mt. Blue will battle a River Hawks team coming off a 73-62 non-league loss to Hampden (Hampden, ME). The River Hawks record now stands at 9-6.
The Hornets (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Huskies come into the non-league contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Maine Central Institute was routed by Winslow (Winslow, ME), 54-36, in a league contest.
