The Northwest Mounties basketball team (Jackson, MI), was nudged 59-52 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Leslie Blackhawks (Leslie, MI)
The Blackhawks now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perry for a Greater Lansing battle on Friday, February 3. Leslie will confront a Ramblers team coming off a 65-54 non-league loss to Bendle (Burton, MI). The Ramblers record now stands at 4-10.
The Mounties (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI). The Beavers come into the Interstate Eight battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Harper Creek edged Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI), 66-53, in a non-league battle.
