The Monticello Sages basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Rantoul Eagles to 39 in the Sages league victory on Tuesday.

The Sages now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4.

The Eagles (7-18) will now prepare for their contest against St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Sabers come into the Illini Prairie contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, St. Thomas More prevailed over Heyworth (Heyworth, IL), 55-46, in a non-league contest.
