Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Olive overwhelmed by Staunton

The Staunton Bulldogs basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Mt. Olive Wildcats to 26 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 1. Staunton will battle a Warriors team coming off a 46-44 league win over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 8-16.

The Wildcats (1-18) will now prepare for their contest against North Greene (White Hall, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 5-17 record. In their last contest, North Greene was routed by Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL), 66-39, in a non-league contest.
