Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Kilties host East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to clash with the Avengers in a State Championship bout on Thursday, February 2. The Avengers go into the bout with a record of 4-9. East Greenwich lost 63-59 in their recent league bout against Barrington (Barrington, RI)

Next up, the Mariners clash with the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a State Championship bout, on Thursday, February 2. Narragansett will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record.
