The West Bend-Mallard Wolverines basketball team (West Bend, IA), was nudged 56-53 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Northwest Webster Cougars (Manson, IA)
The Cougars now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Central Calhoun for a non-league battle on Friday, February 3. Northwest Webster will battle a Titans team coming off a 81-45 league win over Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA). The Titans record now stands at 11-6.
The Wolverines (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Alta-Aurelia was nudged by Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA), 75-52, in a league battle.
