Uxbridge Spartans (Uxbridge, MA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA), 58-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Uxbridge upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Nipmuc Regional (Upton, MA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs (Marlborough, MA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Aztecs go into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 37-34 league win over Abby Kelley Foster (Worcester, MA).
