Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers (Greenfield, IL), 53-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 25-3 on the season. The Hornets host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL) to play the Trojans in a Western Illinois Valley bout on Thursday, February 2. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 4-16. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia lost 42-24 in their recent non-league bout against Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the Seymour Indians (Payson, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Greenfield/Northwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 19-11 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 49-28 non-league loss to Beardstown (Beardstown, IL).
