Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL), 56-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clifton Central upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Comets travel to Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3.
