Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant knocked off by Hargrave Military Academy

The Hargrave Military Academy Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host New Covenant Gryphons to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fishburne Military for a contest on Thursday, February 2. Hargrave Military Academy will battle a Caissons team coming off a 57-40 league loss to Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Caissons record now stands at 0-9.

The Gryphons (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Raiders enter the contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, North Cross ran past Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
