Virginia High School Basketball - Virginia Episcopal School nudges Covenant

In Tuesday's league outing, the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), by a margin of 56-50.

The Bishops (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Chiefs go into the outing with a 5-7 record. In their last outing, Carlisle got by Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA), 57-40, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 12-3 record. They play next when they host Monticello for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 1. Covenant will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 41-21 non-league win over Orange County (Orange, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-5.
