The Beacon Academy Trailblazers (Evanston, IL) basketball felled the host Yeshiva (Skokie, IL), 49-41 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Trailblazers (14-5) will now prepare for their match against Waldorf (Chicago, IL). The Thunder enter the Lakeshore match with a 3-10 record. In their last match, Waldorf overcame Cruz (Chicago, IL), 61-48, in a league match.
With the defeat, Yeshiva moves to 5-4 on the year. The host Rochelle Zell Jewish (Deerfield, IL) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, February 10. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 14-4.
