Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Harlan Green Dragons (Harlan, KY), 63-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Knott County Central upgrades its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Wolfe County (Campton, KY) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Wolfe County won 87-80 in their recent non-league bout against Estill County (Irvine, KY)

Next up, the Green Dragons play the Pineville Mountain Lions (Pineville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Harlan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Mountain Lions come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 78-67 league loss to Knox Central (Barbourville, KY).
