Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sheehan Titans (Wallingford, CT), 67-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maloney upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Spartans host Platt (Meriden, CT) to clash with the Panthers in a Central Connecticut - South Colonial bout on Friday, February 2. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Platt won 60-53 in their recent non-league bout against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, CT)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) in a Southern Connecticut - Housatonic bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Sheehan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
