Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL) and the visiting West Vigo Vikings (West Terre Haute, IN), saw Marshall's basketball squad overcome West Vigo by a tally of 63-53.

With the victory, Marshall improves its record to 11-13 on the campaign. The Lions host Newton (Newton, IL) to confront the Eagles in a Little Illini challenge on Friday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 16-9. Newton lost 43-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Paris Tigers (Paris, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. West Vigo will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record.
