Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors (Poughkeepsie, NY), 69-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe-Woodbury upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Crusaders host Kingston (Kingston, NY) to play the Tigers in a Section 9 Orange County I bout on Monday, February 5. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Kingston won 103-36 in their recent league bout against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Saugerties Sawyers (Saugerties, NY) in a Section 9 Mid Hudson I bout, on Friday, February 2. Our Lady of Lourdes will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Sawyers go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 41-36 non-league loss to Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY).
