Benicia Panthers (Benicia, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles (Concord, CA), 37-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Benicia upgrades its record to 23-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Wood (Vacaville, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, February 1. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 3-9. Wood lost 54-37 in their recent league battle against Rodriguez (Fairfield, CA)

The Ugly Eagles (17-8) will now prepare for their battle against Monte Vista (Danville, CA). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record.
