Decatur Seahawks (Berlin, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA), 53-9 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Decatur upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Seahawks travel to Wicomico (Salisbury, MD) to play the Indians in a Bayside - South bout on Saturday, February 3. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 16-1. Wicomico won 72-35 in their recent league bout against Pocomoke (Pocomoke, MD)

Next up, the Firebirds play the Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) in a Eastern Shore bout, on Thursday, February 1. Arcadia will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Ponies come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 29-27 league win over Northampton (Eastville, VA).
