Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT), 57-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cheshire upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Rams travel to West Haven (West Haven, CT) to play the Blue Devils in a Southern Connecticut - Housatonic bout on Friday, February 2. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-10. West Haven lost 61-39 in their recent non-league bout against Hamden (Hamden, CT)

Next up, the Hawks play the Crosby Bulldogs (Waterbury, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Woodland Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 42-19 league loss to Kennedy (Waterbury, CT).
