Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) and the visiting Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC), saw East Duplin's basketball squad wallop Heide Trask by a tally of 53-20.

With the victory, East Duplin improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC) to confront the Hawks in a 2A East Central challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 6-12.

Next up, the Titans confront the South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) in a 1A/2A Waccamaw challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Heide Trask will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Stallions come into the challenge with a 3-16 record after their 58-14 league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
