The Mentor Cardinals basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Hudson Explorers to 32 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Medina for a Greater Cleveland contest on Saturday, February 3. Mentor will battle a Battling Bees team coming off a 75-51 non-league win over Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH). The Battling Bees record now stands at 16-3.
The Explorers (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Solon (Solon, OH). The Comets come into the Suburban - National contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Solon dropped by Wadsworth (Wadsworth, OH), 54-45, in a league contest.
