Ohio High School Basketball - Lakewood knocked off by Watkins Memorial

The Watkins Memorial Warriors basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Lakewood Lancers to 26 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Warriors now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Licking Valley for a Licking County - Buckeye contest on Saturday, February 3. Watkins Memorial will battle a Panthers team coming off a 39-31 league loss to Johnstown-Monroe (Johnstown, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 8-9.

The Lancers (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against Centerburg (Centerburg, OH). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Centerburg ran past Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH), 47-34, in a league contest.
