Maryland High School Basketball - Poly can't hold off McDonogh

The McDonogh Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Poly Engineers to 50 in the Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roland Park Country for a IAAM A contest on Friday, February 2. McDonogh will battle a Reds team coming off a 50-38 league loss to St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD). The Reds record now stands at 5-12.

The Engineers (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against Benjamin Franklin (Baltimore, MD). The Bayhawks come into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record.
