The Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) basketball felled the visiting West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI), 73-55 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Miners (15-1) will now prepare for their test against Calumet (Calumet, MI). The Copper Kings go into the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Calumet thwarted Chassell (Chassell, MI), 56-21, in a non-league test.

The Wykons now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host L'Anse for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. West Iron County will encounter a Purple Hornets squad coming off a 63-33 league loss to Baraga (Baraga, MI). The Purple Hornets record now stands at 7-7.
