The Nome-Beltz Nanooks basketball team (Nome, AK), dropped 48-38 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Newhalen Malamutes (Newhalen, AK)
The Malamutes now possess a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kali for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 1. Newhalen will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 50-40 league loss to Nunamiut (Anaktuvik Pass, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-4.
The Nanooks (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Cordova (Cordova, AK). The Wolverines come into the non-league battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Cordova dropped by Susitna Valley (Talkeetna, AK), 43-27, in a league battle.
