The Pearl River Rebels basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Northlake Christian Wolverines to 33 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rebels now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salmen for a 4A District 8 contest on Friday, February 2. Pearl River will meet a Spartans team coming off a 63-46 non-league loss to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 13-15.

The Wolverines (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars enter the 2A District 7 contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Pope John Paul II triumphed over St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA), 45-38, in a league contest.
