Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL), 55-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 21-4 on the season. The Flying Geese travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 16-10. Sherrard lost 39-25 in their recent league bout against Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL)

Next up, the Spartans play the Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 18-7 record after their 40-31 league loss to Lewistown (Lewistown, IL).
