North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg knocked off by Charlotte Catholic

The Charlotte Catholic Cougars basketball team scored 23 points and held the host South Mecklenburg Sabres to 14 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Garinger for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6.

The Sabres (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas enter the non-league contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Palisades was outscored by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 60-19, in a league contest.
