In Friday's league contest, the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes basketball team scored a big 61-38 triumph over the Biggsville West Central Heat.

The Tornadoes (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Illini West (Carthage, IL). The Chargers go into the non-league contest with a 16-8 record. In their last contest, Illini West was trounced by Quincy Notre Dame (Quincy, IL), 61-48, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Heat confront the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL) in a Lincoln Trail contest, on Tuesday, February 4.
