The St. Augustine Purple Knights (New Orleans, LA) basketball crushed the host Archbishop Rummel Raiders (Metairie, LA), 50-28 in Friday's league bout.
The Purple Knights now possess a 22-3 record. They play next when they host John Curtis Christian for a 5A District 9 bout on Tuesday, February 4. St. Augustine will play a Patriots team coming off a 62-53 non-league win over Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 29-7.
With the loss, Archbishop Rummel falls to 14-10 on the campaign. The Raiders host Warren Easton (New Orleans, LA) to play the Fighting Eagles in a 5A District 9 bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Fighting Eagles go into the bout with a record of 16-24.
