    • Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central triumphant over Blue River Valley

    January 31, 2025: Parker City, IN 47368

    The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) and the visiting Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN), observed Monroe Central's basketball team overwhelm Blue River Valley by a margin of 73-38.

    The Golden Bears (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against New Castle (New Castle, IN). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, New Castle was trounced by Mt. Vernon (Fortville, IN), 57-39, in a league challenge.

    In their next game, the Vikings battle the Union City Indians (Union City, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Blue River Valley will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 50-47 league win over Hagerstown (Hagerstown, IN).
