The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nevis Tigers (Nevis, MN) and the visiting Central Raiders (Norwood-Young America, MN), observed Nevis's basketball team overwhelm Central by a margin of 74-51.

The Tigers (18-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Tigers come into the A Section 5 challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Pine River-Backus was trounced by Red Lake (Red Lake, MN), 87-77, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Barnesville Trojans (Barnesville, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Central will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 82-66 league win over Crookston (Crookston, MN).
