The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Contra Costa Christian Cougars (Walnut Creek, CA) and the visiting Emery Spartans (Emeryville, CA), observed Contra Costa Christian's basketball team knock off Emery by a score of 63-55.

The Cougars (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Christian (Dublin, CA). The Vikings come into the Bay Counties - General challenge with a 4-13 record.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Averroes Falcon (Fremont, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Emery will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Falcon come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 38-26 non-league win over Cristo Rey De La Salle (Oakland, CA).
