The Elida Bulldogs basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Defiance Bulldogs to 40 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Wapakoneta (Wapakoneta, OH). The Redskins go into the Western Buckeye contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Wapakoneta topped Greenville (Greenville, OH), 64-30, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Liberty-Benton Eagles (Findlay, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Defiance will attempt to better on its 13-4 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 15-1 record after their 57-40 non-league win over Eastwood (Pemberville, OH).
