In Friday's league contest, the host Stonington Bears basketball team scored a close 62-60 win over the East Greenwich Avengers.
The Bears (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT). The Colonels come into the non-league contest with a 5-6 record.
In their next game, the Avengers battle the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) in a Division II contest, on Tuesday, February 4. East Greenwich will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 61-55 league win over West Warwick (West Warwick, RI).
