The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mesabi East Giants (Aurora, MN) and the host Floodwood Polar Bears (Floodwood, MN), observed Mesabi East's basketball team overwhelm Floodwood by a margin of 105-47.

The Giants (5-11) will now prepare for their challenge against International Falls (International Falls, MN). The Broncos come into the non-league challenge with a 2-16 record. In their last challenge, International Falls was trounced by Chisholm (Chisholm, MN), 61-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Polar Bears battle the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies (Isle, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Floodwood will attempt to better on its 0-16 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 64-43 non-league loss to Braham (Braham, MN).
