In Friday's non-league contest, the host Nome-Beltz Nanooks basketball team scored a big 82-58 triumph over the Homer Mariners.
The Nanooks (13-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kotzebue (Kotzebue, AK). The Huskies go into the 3A Western contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Kotzebue smashed North Pole (North Pole, AK), 68-57, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mariners battle the North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Homer will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 81-33 non-league loss to Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK).
