Ohio High School Basketball - Archbishop Hoban nips Start

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Archbishop Hoban Knights basketball team scored a close 47-41 triumph over the Start Spartans.

The Knights (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Avon Lake (Avon Lake, OH). The Shoremen go into the non-league contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, Avon Lake nipped Berea-Midpark (Berea, OH), 48-36, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Rogers Rams (Toledo, OH) in a Toledo City contest, on Wednesday, February 5. Start will attempt to better on its 15-4 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 10-9 record after their 49-33 non-league win over Westfield Prep (Redford, MI).
