In Friday's league test, the Cross Trojans (Cross, SC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Charleston Math & Science Riptide (Charleston, SC), by a final score of 39-12.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Scott's Branch Eagles (Summerton, SC) in a A Region 5 test, on Friday, February 7. Cross will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record.

The Riptide (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC). The Eagles come into the A Region 5 test with a 19-4 record. In their last test, Military Magnet Academy was overwhelmed by Westside (Anderson, SC), 73-55, in a non-league test.
