Georgia High School Basketball - McNair trounced by Lamar County

January 31, 2025: Barnesville, GA 30204

The McNair Mustangs basketball squad (Atlanta, GA), was crushed 64-26 in Friday's league battle with the host Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA)

With the victory, Lamar County advances its record to 19-4 on the year. The Trojans host Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to meet the Knights in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 1. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 7-10. Upson-Lee won 51-43 in their recent league battle against Troup County (LaGrange, GA)

The Mustangs now own a 5-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jasper County for a A D1 Region 4 battle on Tuesday, February 4. McNair will meet a Hurricanes squad coming off a 37-36 league win over Greenforest (Decatur, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 13-9.
