The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ) and the visiting Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers (Newfield, NJ), observed Ranney's basketball team edge Our Lady of Mercy Academy by a score of 49-44.
The (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Ocean Township was tipped by Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ), 57-17, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Villagers encounter the Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record.
