The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) and the visiting Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), witnessed Cumberland's ice hockey team defeat Rogers by a final score of 4-2.
The Clippers (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Rebels come into the Division 2 challenge with a 2-11 record. In their last challenge, South Kingstown by Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Avengers come into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 7-4 league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI).
