In Friday's non-league contest, the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) soccer team edged the visiting Arcadia Titans (Phoenix, AZ), by a tally of 4-3.
Next, the Firebirds face the Notre Dame Prep Saints (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 5A Northeast Valley contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Chaparral will attempt to advance on its 7-6 season record. The Saints enter the contest with a 3-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ).
The Titans (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ). The Knights enter the 4A Desert Sky contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, St. Mary's was nipped by Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ), 4-1, in a league contest.
