In Saturday's non-league test, the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Millburn Millers (Millburn, NJ), by a score of 73-59.

Next, the Lions clash with the Arts Jaguars (Newark, NJ) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 3. Payne Tech will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 84-55 non-league win over Irvington (Irvington, NJ).
