The Catholic Central Irish (Springfield, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Northeastern Jets (Springfield, OH), 73-55 in Tuesday's league test.
The Irish (9-0) will now prepare for their test against West Jefferson (West Jefferson, OH). The Roughriders go into the Ohio Heritage test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, West Jefferson went down by Cedarville (Cedarville, OH), 43-39, in a league test.
The Jets now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Madison Plains for a Ohio Heritage test on Friday, January 7. Northeastern will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 40-22 league win over Mechanicsburg (Mechanicsburg, OH). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 6-6.
