Big Spring Bulldogs (Newville, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Biglerville Canners (Biglerville, PA), 62-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Big Spring upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Northern York (Dillsburg, PA) to play the Polar Bears in a Mid-Penn - Colonial bout on Friday, January 6. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Northern York won 53-37 in their recent league bout against West Perry (Elliottsburg, PA)

Next up, the Canners play the York Catholic Fighting Irish (York, PA) in a York-Adams 4 bout, on Friday, January 6. Biglerville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 54-37 non-league loss to Wyomissing (Wyomissing, PA).
