Castleford Wolves (Castleford, ID) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Oakley Hornets (Oakley, ID), 46-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Castleford upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Wolves host Hansen (Hansen, ID) to play the Huskies in a 1A Snake River bout on Thursday, January 12. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 3-6.

Next up, the Hornets play the Grace Grizzlies (Grace, ID) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Oakley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 49-42 non-league win over West Side (Dayton, ID).
