Gore Pirates (Gore, OK) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Central Tigers (Sallisaw, OK), 55-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gore upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Stigler (Stigler, OK) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Stigler won 73-41 in their recent non-league bout against Gans (Gans, OK)

Next up, the Tigers play the Keys Cougars (Park Hill, OK) in a Big Eight bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 46-39 non-league win over Okay (Okay, OK).
