Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Peoria Christian Chargers (Peoria, IL), 39-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lewistown upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Havana (Havana, IL) to play the Ducks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Ducks come into the bout with a record of 3-12. Havana lost 57-48 in their recent non-league bout against Farmington (Farmington, IL)

Next up, the Chargers play the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Peoria Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a 15-0 record after their 63-18 league win over Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL).
